Today the Oakland A’s announced the return of RHP Jose Macias to the Burlington Bees and the transfer of RHP Tyler Vail to the Vermont Lake Monsters of the New York-Penn League. This move is an interesting one. Vail, who came to the Bees in early May from extended spring training, has struggled lately issuing 11 walks over his last 10.2 innings pitched.

Macias, since being sent down to Vermont from Burlington in mid June has pitched very well for the Lake Monsters. He was 2-2 with a 3.27 ERA logging 21 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched.
