What a way to rebound for the Burlington Bees on Saturday! The Bees once again stayed true to their theme of quality pitching with three pitchers combining to strike out 14 men en route to a 5-1 win over the Clinton LumberKings on Saturday. Bees’ pitchers continue to dominate with 28 strikeouts over the first two game of the second half.
In addition to RHP Nate Long’s seven strikeouts, LHP Max Peterson added five strikeouts over three innings and RHP Daniel Tenholder struck out two men in the ninth inning.
CF Jose Crisotomo had two hits on Saturday. It was the most hits in a single game this season for Crisotomo.
Peterson’s five strikeouts were the most strikeouts in a single game he has pitched this season. He struck out three men against the Lake Elsinore Storm on April 27 as a member of the Stockton Ports, the High A affiliate of the Athletics.
